Clinical workflow
What is the difference between appointments, consultations and interventions?
The connected workflow
- Appointments: arrange the visit and record attendance.
- Consultations: open the linked record, save a draft and sign notes after the encounter and evidence review. Corrections use addenda.
- Interventions: create agreed care actions in an accepted-care episode, review goals and progress, and close with an outcome.
Use the clinical work queue for communication, cover and handover. Prescribing, test ordering and correspondence retain their own permissions.
