Grants Manager
Find suitable funding opportunities and turn strong proposals into support for Medocta’s growth.
About the role
Lead the sourcing and development of grant and other relevant non-dilutive funding opportunities for Medocta. Build a realistic funding pipeline, assess eligibility and coordinate credible applications with clinical, product, finance and leadership colleagues.
What you’ll do
- Identify suitable grants, health innovation funds, foundation programmes and other funding opportunities aligned with Medocta’s stage and priorities.
- Assess eligibility, application deadlines, match-funding requirements, restrictions and reporting obligations before recommending an opportunity.
- Maintain a prioritised funding pipeline with clear owners, deadlines and next steps.
- Develop persuasive proposals, budgets, milestones and impact cases using accurate evidence supplied by the team.
- Build relationships with funders and coordinate submissions, clarification requests and award discussions.
- Support grant handover, reporting and compliance with any agreed award conditions; track applications and lessons learned.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant experience in grant development, fundraising, research funding or funding programme management.
- Strong research and proposal-writing skills, with the ability to explain complex work clearly.
- Ability to assess funding eligibility and develop realistic budgets with finance colleagues.
- Excellent organisation and deadline management across several applications.
- Sound judgement about evidence, confidentiality, funder requirements and responsible use of funds.
Helpful additional experience
- Experience sourcing funding for digital health, healthcare, innovation or an early-stage organisation.
- A track record of successful funding applications and useful funder relationships.
- Experience with impact measurement and post-award reporting.
Working arrangements
Medocta is preparing for launch and developing its funding strategy. Location, working pattern, engagement type, start date and remuneration will be discussed during recruitment and confirmed before appointment.
