About the role
Provide evidence-based medical care through Medocta’s digital platform. Assess common acute and chronic concerns, agree practical treatment plans and support continuity of care. Consultations may be scheduled or on demand, depending on the service and agreed working arrangements.
What you’ll do
- Take a thorough history, assess what can safely be managed remotely and arrange in-person or urgent care when needed.
- Diagnose and manage conditions within your competence, explaining treatment options and clear safety-netting advice.
- Prescribe, request and interpret investigations, issue referrals and provide medical documentation where authorised and clinically appropriate.
- Support prevention and long-term condition management, including weight management and mental health concerns within your scope.
- Maintain accurate records, arrange follow-up and coordinate with nurses, dietitians and other professionals.
- Contribute to clinical quality, safeguarding, incident review and the development of safe digital workflows.
What you’ll bring
- Recognised medical degree and relevant postgraduate clinical training.
- Current, unrestricted medical registration or licence in the jurisdiction where you will provide care.
- Experience assessing and managing common primary care presentations, with sound clinical judgement.
- Competence in prescribing and interpreting investigations within your authorised scope.
- Clear communication, accurate digital documentation and commitment to confidentiality and patient safety.
Helpful additional experience
- Training or certification in general practice, family medicine or an appropriate primary care specialty.
- Experience in telemedicine, multidisciplinary care or long-term condition programmes.
- Interest in weight management, prevention or mental health support.
Working arrangements
Medocta is preparing for launch and developing its multidisciplinary clinical services. Digital consultations and follow-up are central to our approach. The country of practice, remote or in-person requirements, hours, engagement type, start date and remuneration will be discussed during recruitment and confirmed before appointment.
